RIKETS Singer Quits
September 12, 2010Oklahoma industrial/metal outfit RIKETS has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on its current U.S. tour after the band's vocalist, Scott Rose, unexpectedly left the group. Guitarist Provo Provenzano states, "The remaining members [of RIKETS] will be auditioning new singers over the next few months. Those interested in the position should email us at [email protected]."
On March 27, RIKETS filmed a video for the song "Program The Dead" with director David Brodsky (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, HATEBREED, FEAR FACTORY) in Oklahoma City. The clip, which can be viewed below, features leading lady Staci Flood, who has worked with Busta Rhymes and Will Smith in addition to co-founding the BOMBSHELL BABIES and THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS burlesque cabaret revues featuring Carmen Electra.
"Program The Dead" comes off RIKETS' sophomore effort, "All American Death Cult", which was released on April 20 via Burnhill Union Records.
The band features guitarist and producer Provo Provenzano, drummer Timmy Braun, Michael Reams on bass, and Nick Quijano (formerly of AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE) on second guitar.
"All American Death Cult" includes such tracks as "Sold Me Out" and "Cry Little Sister", a cover of a song made famous in "The Lost Boys" (a popular 1987 film).
